Involves the breaking up of a bladder stone usually under direct vision at cystoscopy. This can be performed using different technologies depending on the size of the stone. Introduction of laser allows larger bladder stones to be treatment in a minimally invasive manner. Attached is a video showing how we can treat a "giant" bladder stone using a novel method. "Giant" bladder stones are commonly treated with open surgeries and this is associated with significant morbidity and complications.
